Metal barrels with a plastic liner with a volume of 60 liters are mainly used in the chemical and petrochemical industry for the transportation and storage of the most aggressive chemicals. The metal barrel serves as a strong casing and the inner plastic insert made of HDPE then serves as an inner casing resistant to most aggressive substances. Steel drums with an inner plastic liner are supplied with UN certification and are therefore suitable for the transport of dangerous substances according to ADR, IATA-DGR or IMDG regulations.
